Lean Canvas
The Lean Canvas is a revised version of the traditional Business Model Canvas. It is particularly suitable for start-ups with digital business models.
The Lean Canvas is a simplified and focused method for capturing and validating the essential aspects of a business idea without delving into the complexity of a full business model canvas. By taking a closer look at the problems and solutions of your product, you can evaluate your business idea at an early stage – similar to the Business Model Canvas.
An important aspect of the Lean Canvas is the close connection between the individual fields. Changes in one component can have a direct impact on other fields, which means that you have to look at the model as a whole and make adjustments accordingly. This flexibility allows the Lean Canvas to evolve as your business idea develops and adapt to changing requirements and circumstances.
Like the traditional business model canvas, the lean canvas consists of nine fields that help you validate the individual components of your business idea. Just as there is a specific Business Model Canvas order when completing a Business Model Canvas, there is also an order when completing your Lean Canvas, which is as follows:
Problem, Customer Segments, Unique Selling Propositions, Solution, Unfair Advantage, Revenue Sources, Costs, Metrics, Sales Channels.
As with our Business Model Canvas explanation, we give you a quick explanation of the Lean Canvas on our website so that you understand what is behind the individual fields.
